In 1929 Britain unilaterally donated the largest portion of its Mandated territory of Palestine (Eretz Israel) to a Sheikh of the Arab Hashemite Clan.
In 1947 at the UN the Arabs rejected the formation of an Arab Palestinian State alongside Israel in Palestine.
Thus Israel must defend a state which is only 20% of Israel
